The Learning Innovation Grant (LIG) is a highly successful programme funded by Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and delivered by the Association of Learning Providers (ALP).
The purpose of the LIG programme is to provide capital investment for Government funded independent work-based learning organisations (offering Apprenticeships or Train to Gain learning programmes) to exploit the use of technology in learning and management in order to improve the learners experience leading to improved learner retention, motivation and achievement.
Navitas Sports supported League Football Education in securing and delivering LIG funding for two separate projects:
- £300,000 to develop online Functional Skills resources linked to the 2012 Olympics
- £60,000 to implement video analysis technology at 71 Football League clubs.
Testimonials
"LFE has now worked with Navitas Sports on a number of significant projects and will be keen to do so again in the future. Under their guidance we have successfully implemented two major projects which totalled over £400K in funding and investment. Navitas has not only ensured that these projects were delivered on time and on budget but has shown a great ability to navigate the issues of partnership working, facilitating smooth and easy progress for all concerned. Navitas has also illustrated a keen understanding of LFE’s wider objectives and been very proactive in unearthing further opportunities for LFE to enhance its programme; not only through funding sources but also in identifying and introducing us to relevant information as well as partners through their networks."
